• What is the difference in hyaluronic acid from a rooster comb or sugar beets?

  The hyaluronic acid from a rooster comb has more protein and therefore requires more preservatives. The hyaluronic acid from sugar beets is vegan.

• What is the source of silver and gold shimmer used in the healing and restoring cream and the facial day lotion?

  Silver is diamond clusters and Mica. Gold shimmer is treated Mica

• What is the pH of the Vitamin C exfoliation? And is there a buffer?

  Liquid base pH is 4.5
  When L-ascorbic acid is added pH is 3
  There is no buffer.

• Why do some Hylunia products contain silicone?

  Hylunia’s products are all water based and therefore require a small amount (less than 5% of the l formulation) of inert silicone to provide slip and reduce tackiness of the product. Penetration is dependent on concentration of the silicne. A very small percentage of silicone is used so that it does not clog the skin and let the active ingredients to penetrate. . Silicone is derived from Silica and is a natural product and very safe to use on the skin .

• Can Dr. Link formulate a product to be used with Galvanic or Micro current devices?

  All Hylunia products are acid based and therefore can conduct electricity and safe to use with both devices. Hylunai’s active ingredients can be used as serum underneath an inert conductive gel.

• If Hyaluronic acid is not exfoliating, why is it called and acid?

  Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule, the chemical structure resembles that of an acid. Just like a fatty acid (coconut oil) is not an acid or exfoliating

• Why is the Beyond Complex C orange if Hylunia doesn’t use dyes?

  The color is a result of the combination of ingredients, there is Vitamin A and Vitamin C which contribute to the orange color. There is no dye added.

• What is the percentage of active exfoliating ingredients in the Natural Fruit Acid Exfoliant?

  All the acids in the natural fruit acid are active ingredients.

• How is the strength of the Papaya Enzyme Mask measured? Percentage?

  Enzymes are measured by activity level not percentages.

• How is the strength of the Papaya Bromelain Concentrate measured?

  Gel digestion units are the measurement tools and Hylunia uses the maximum available 1,200 units.

• Can you make premixed dosha oils for the face? Similar to facial remedy oils but dosha specific.

  Yes, All our products are formulated to be compatible with essential oils.

• Will you be formulating a lip treatment in the future? If so, any time frame in mind?

  Yes but launch date not determined.

• Why do you have carnitine in advanced acne treatment?

  Yes, this act as a beta hydroxyl acid but without irritating effect of salicylic acid.

• Will we be getting more user friendly ayurvedic brochures?

  Yes we can do probably next year. Can you get an idea of how simple it has to be. Their input is appreciated.

• I have a client who is extremely allergic to salicylic acid in any form. She's also very sensitive. I'd love to give her a Hylunia facial but I need to know if there is any salicylic acid or white willow bark or any derivative of sal acid in the Vitamin C exfoliant or any other products (except the Salicylic Facial Cleanser or Advanced Acne Treatment)?

  The products to avoid would be obviously the salicylic cleanser and the advanced acne treatment. Advanced acne treatment contains carnitine which is a BHA.

• Why does the Skin Lightening Treatment contain SDA 40 Alcohol?

  Melanocytes are located deep in the epidermis and in order for the Kojic acid to reach them for lightening it needs to be delivered in the SDA 40 Alcohol for penetration.

• Is Zinc a chemical sunblock?

  zinc is a mineral.

• Are Lavender and Tea tree oils phyto estrogens?

  Only if taken internally or soak yourself daily

• Can Dr. Lingam formulate an exfoliating moisturizer?

  These are two separate steps-and should be done in 2 steps. The companies that market these product are marketing and not performance. There is hardlty any exfoliation .
